Fall Bow Headband

It's official! Fall is here! Grab a cup of hot apple cider and head to your craft room! It's time to make an adorable fall bow headband!

For this headband what's more fitting than using our adorable hot cider gingham ribbon! Paired with yellow gold solid grosgrain, it's a perfect fall combo!

To get started, gather your supplies:

Start your headband by gluing one end of your 7/8" solid ribbon to the very bottom inside of your headband and wrap diagonally around until you come to the other end. Try to keep it tight so the ribbon doesn't stick up! Cut the excess ribbon off and glue the end to the inside of the headband.

Next, we will make our bow! Cut your strip of printed ribbon about 15" long. Fold in half to make a crease in the middle. Make two loops into a figure "8" shape with the ends opposite of each other meeting in the middle as shown below.
Bring the middle of both loops towards the center, slightly overlapping them so that you can grab both with one hand.
Next, you will be accordion pleating the center of your bow. Start by folding the bow in half with the center going upwards. Then fold each of the sides back again making three layers of folds. Secure tightly with a zip tie and trim the end.

Cut your 3/8" piece to be about 4" long. Start by gluing one end to the back of your bow. Place the bow onto the headband where you want it to sit and use a dab of glue to hold it in place. Then wrap the rest of the ribbon all the way around the headband and glue it to the underside of the headband.
