Sweet Scoops Bow Tutorial
What’s better than ice cream on a hot summer day? Ice cream-inspired bows, of course! Our new Sweet Scoops Collection is a printed felt dream, featuring classic cone textures and sprinkle-covered scoops in strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate. Today, we’re showing you how to turn these sweet treats into the sweetest layered bows ever!
Materials:
- Sweet Scoops Collection
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Zip Tie or Thread
- 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
Step by Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Create Your Loops
We started by cutting a 2" x 8" strip of each flavor and folding it in half to find the middle. Then, we folded both ends into the center so they meet in the middle, forming a clean loop. Secure with hot glue.
Step 2: Build the Bow Layers
Choose one flavor strip and one cone strip. Fold each loop accordion-style into 3 folds in the center, then stack the two pieces on top of each other—flavor on top, cone on the bottom—to create your scoop-and-cone effect.
Step 3: Secure the Center
Use a zip tie to cinch your bow in the middle. This gives a nice tight hold and helps shape the bow perfectly.
Step 4: Add the Finishing Touch
Wrap a piece of 3/8" grosgrain ribbon around the center to cover the zip tie and glue it in place. We also wrapped our hair clip with the same ribbon for a nice finished look. You can match the flavor color or go with a fun contrast!
